Innovation instead of depression at process heat specialist Freek
The German-based producer of heating elements announced in the run up to this year's Fakuma (Hall A2 2206)
further innovative all in solutions for nozzle heating. Progress for the plastic processing made Freek with its
legally protected SMA clamping systems "ThermoLock" and "ThermoDrive", which use shape memory alloy. The last
details are dealt with in strategic cooperation with producers, processors, users and research institutes.
A further development highlight of the German think tank is an own "brass system", which is one step ahead
regarding heat distribution, assembly and removal.
"Success is a matter of Preparation meeting Opportunity", such is the company's credo. Stable growth and
ambitious innovation ideas left the long-established company, which is going to celebrate its 60th anniversary
in 2010, no choice but to prepare for new challenges. Numerous new developments shown at the Fakuma should herald
the next growth cycle. After its just completed expansion the company employs additional staff and disposes of
appr. one third more production space.
Product development announces Freek as well for miniaturising its manifold heaters. For this application
Freek has always been consistently focusing on square tube sections and refers to advantages in assembly
and efficiency. Following the sections 8 x 8 mm and 6 x 6 mm end of the 1990s the 4.5 x 4.5 mm has been
established due to emerging micro injection moulding. Now for the FAKUMA Freek introduces the smallest
section 3 x 3 mm for the first time. All dimensions are produced in stainless steel or nickel. Freek's
HotMicroCoil compact standard 2.0 mm round resp. 1.4 x 2.4 mm with termination on one side for plastic
injection nozzles is now available in the dimensions 1.8 mm round resp. 1.3 x 2.3 mm, too.
15 years of innovation by EUCOPET. With its
network partners Freek is developing, producing and distributing
a complete range of industrial heating elements.
Thus, besides hotrunner heaters, innovative cartridge heaters,
tubular heaters, as well as
infrared and
flat heating elements are waiting for the expert visitor at the
Freek booth in hall A2 2206.
