    Introduction

    back
    upward

Thermo Sensors are needed in any controlled heating process. For various applications different types of thermocouples are obtainable. Most common are thermocouples (TC) and resistance sensors (RS). Both types are available in the same executions as a matter of princible. For non-contact measuring infrared sensors are the rights choice, either in stationary executions or as portable measuring instrument.

Sensor type Measuring range (recommended) Field of application
    TC
    Type J (Fe-CuNi)
    (DIN IEC 584)
    -200 °C - 1000 °C
    (0 °C - 590 °C)
Cost-effective, suitable for simple PID controllers (in PLC is often additional electronic necessary), available in grounded (quick responding) or ungrounded (insensible to shock and electromagnetic radiation).
    TC
    Type K (NiCr - Ni)
    (DIN IEC 584)
    -200 °C - 1270 °C
    (400 °C - 900 °C)
    RS
    (DIN IEC 751)
    -200 °C - 850 °C More exact (measuring error < 1 % possible) and less interference-prone.
IS 0 °C - 500 °C Contactless measuring (insensible to air draft or heat radiation), stationary execution IP65 rated.

Contactless infrared sensors of the BA 06 and BA 30 series are compact and robust measuring devices for stationary use. Especially in temperature controlled processes in which contact temperature measuring is ruled out due to disturbing influences such as air draught or heat emission stationary infrared sensors are used. Its variable usefulness and easy laser positioning pays off also for supplementary process optimization in complex machines. The measured value and the emission factor can be read directly from the LCD display.

    Special features
    E -Teach Function:
The emisstion factor can be adjusted by the keyboard or calculated with a comparison measuring instrument.
    Precise positioning:
Owing to the laser positioning and the precise optics the measuring surfaces are very exact.
    Standard Signal 4 - 20 mA:
This output signal can be processed easily from SPS or controllers, displays and writers. Our recommendation for temperature controllers: the JC-series
